very doubtful about their quality, though the prices were very attractive. We, therefore, decided to import a prototype for testing, which we did. After receipt of the piece we tested it thoroughly and found it acceptable at its price. A trip was organized to visit Chinese suppliers. In this venture, he took his cousin Mukesh Kumar Jain alongwith him and went to China for a week. There he found the bargain very lucrative and ordered a container load in different categories.

A separate firm under the name & style of TECHMECH HANDLING EQUIPMENT was registered for this purpose and the goods imported from China were assembled here and sold on an all India basis.

Our background and past experience in the material handling line proved to be a boon in our sales and service efforts. Chinese equipments were light weight and light duty and needed proper handling. We provided excellent after sale service to the users in their own factories, which greatly boosted our turnover.

One of the equipment was maintenance platform. Which had its reach up to 40 Ft. height. It became very popular in the market and we were able to sell many pcs. Over the years. We

added several mother machines in the workshop which increased production and improved quality to a great extent.

At the fag end of my life. I feel satisfied that I have lived and enjoyed life fully well. In fact, I have been living two parallel lives all through, as I have stated earlier too. One, connected with literary pursuits, which includes reading of literary and technical books and writing and reciting of urdu poetry in my leizure, particularly at late hours in the nights & holidays and the other is connected with business and workshop. Over the years. I have never enjoyed any holidays nor any sight seeing or lot of touring. Whatever, came in my way, while on business tours was enjoyed by me. But I have no regrets whatsoever.

While narrating my life story, I have purposely omitted to mention a few details about my literary pursuits, which though, frankly admitting, are not many, because literary tastes have nothing in common with my business dealings which I have so far narrated in details.

In the year 2004, I came in contact with ‘Rifat Sarosh’ the great contemporary Urdu poet and writer, living at Noida. I showed him my old manuscript which my wife had preserved throughout life but the papers were soiled. He examined the

same thoroughly and opined that my poems and ‘Gazals’ have real substance and literarily approved. He suggested that these should be published in book form and sent to all contemporary Urdu Poets and writers for their opinion and comments and then circulated amongst the people having literary taste. That would also serve as a memorabilia, after life. I immediately agreed to his suggestion and requested him to take the responsibility of getting it printed in book form as he had the necessary expertise and contacts in the trade.

In May 2005, my book of Urdu poems named Tarana e Bedari  in Urdu and Hindi Script came out of the press, including excellent foreword of about 30 pages by Janab ‘Refat Sarosh. The book was forwarded to many leading luminaries of Urdu literature throughout the country.

In about a month’s time very favourable and encouraging response and comments were received from every nook & corner the country. Lengthy essays and congratulatory letters were written by eminent writers of Urdu literature eulogizing the originality and charm of my verses. Though literary trends have vastly changed over the years gone by, but the book attracted the readers to a great extent by its romantic and patriotic tenor  and appeal.

In one of the literary functions being held in the C.C.S University Meerut. I happened to meet ‘Aslam Jamshedpuri’ and ‘Dr. Khalid Hussain Khan’ both eminent writers of Urdu Prose. The latter took more interest in my literary achievements. I showed him all the letters and comments of eminent Urdu writers on my book which he read very carefully and suggested to compile them in a book form for purposes of record and publicity. Again, I agreed. He put his heart & soul in to the project and in the month of ____________2008,

The book titled as ‘B.S. Jain ‘Jauhar’ fun aur Shakhsiat’ compiled by Dr. Khalid Hussain khan was released. This book, too, caused ripples in the Urdu literary circles and was appreciated by eminent writers to a great extent. Particularly, Dr. Khalid’s lucid style of writing in his own essay contained in this book attracted attention. This was also widely circulated amongst literary circles.

Janab ‘Rifat Sarosh’ used to hold poetic sessiors at his residence off and on and invited Urdu Poets of repute from far & wide to recite their verses. I invariably used to take part in them, but, alas, the leading light is no more ‘Rifat Sarosh’ has expired in December 2008. Leaving the world of Urdu literature

bereft of his literary contributions that he was making till he breathed his last. He authored about sixty Urdu Books in prose and poetry.

Though he died at a ripe age of about 84, but his death has left great void in my life which is not going to be filled up. At every step, I greatly miss him. but what can one do but to pray to GOD ‘may his soul rest in peace in heaven’.

After May 2005, when my collection of poems under the title ‘Tarana-e-Bedari’ was published. I have been constantly writing Urdu poems, many of which are being published in Urdu magazines in the country regularly. Now I have decided to bring out another book of verses under the title ‘Saaz-o-Mizraab’ and have started working on it. It is expected to be published within a month or two.

Now I came to the end of my life story and God willing, if I live longer, I will pick up the thread again. Meanwhile, Adieu, my dear readers, for the time being.
